From the novice who wants to tackle gentle beginner trails to the seasoned expert determined to conquer a double black diamond run, all of our resorts offer world-class lessons for skiers and riders of every skill level. Instructors and Lessons
Group LessonsMost classes run throughout the week, starting on Sundays, but this depends on the resort. Try to leave some time each day to work on your skiing outside the class. A good way to do this is to take lessons in the morning, when you are freshest, and to spend the afternoons going over at your own pace what you have learnt. Ski school is also a good way to meet people, and there may be someone in the class with whom you can practise after lessons. Another good way to improve is to ski with a group of more advanced friends, though be careful of well-meaning but incorrect advice, and make sure that you don't over-stretch your ability. Don't be too proud to return to school once you are a competent skier. Private LessonsAlthough daily lessons are essential for beginners, their necessity decreases with subsequent holidays. After the second or third holiday, it may make more sense to take the occasional private lesson. The advantage of private lessons is that the instructor can concentrate on your individual needs, making sure that you understand any new concepts. You don't spend any time waiting for the rest of the class. If it is one or two private lessons you looking for, ask your resort representative on arrival to make some enquiries and bookings for you.
Snowboarding LessonsFrom basic snowboarding lessons, to advanced, the various resort instructors are qualified to help you learn the joys of this extreme sport. Snowboard rentals are also available, so all you have to do is enjoy the experience. 'The sensation you get from skiing/snowboarding through powder snow and making your own preferred way around miles of alpine mountain terrain is definitely one of the finest examples of freedom. It is often described as the only holiday experience that allows you to forget 100% about work, and the stresses modern day life brings'.
